Aquarius Season

When the sun moves out of one region of the sky designated to a Zodiac Sign and into a region belonging to another Sign, we experience a new Sign Season. On January 20, 2023, we’ll be moving out of Capricorn Season and into Aquarius Season, and with that shift comes a shift in collective focus.

Wherever the sun is at any given moment can give us insight into what we’re likely to be focusing on as a collective (there are always personal exceptions, due to agency and personal energetic influences), and when the sun is in Aquarius, we humans have a tendency to focus on things relating to Aquarius energy.

Things like:

• Innovation and change. We’re just over halfway through the first month of a new year, and we’re starting to gain a sense of whether the structures, routines, and goals we’ve set are actually helpful or if we feel stifled and limited by them.
• Rebellion. Many people (especially children and teenagers) start to feel frustrated or even caged by school or work around this time and, if you live somewhere that’s currently experiencing Winter and colder weather, you may be feeling a bit trapped by rain or snow and ice.
• Social identity, friendship, and groups. Who am I in relation to my peers? My coworkers? How do I fit into society and how am I contributing? These are questions simmering in the unconscious of many and the conscious awareness of some.
• Self expression and uniqueness. Many of us are deciding how to let our “freak flag fly” during this time or we’re grappling with the pull to fit in with others and the desire to be true to whatever is weird or unusual within us.
• Humanitarian efforts. Social justice issues are more likely to come into the forefront during Aquarius Season.
